ABA National Conference 2024

5.00pm - 7.30pm. OFFICIAL RECEPTION AND WELCOME TO CANBERRA

9am - 12pm. AUSTRALIAN BRAVERY ASSOCIATION AGM
Southern Cross Club, 92-96 Corinna St, Phillip ACT 2606.
Note: Please arrive and register by 8.45 am. Members wishing to vote are asked to register with the National Secretary 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the AGM.
The AGM will be a combination of face-to-face and ZOOM to allow members to join from around the country. Details of the ZOOM link will be sent out with the AGM Notice to Members.
7.00 for 11.00pm. ANNUAL BLACK-TIE DINNER
Southern Cross Club Woden, 92-96 Corinna St, Phillip ACT 2606.
Three course alternate drop dinner, drinks are included in the price, bubbles, beer, wine, and soft drinks. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the night.

Due to the light rail extension road works and expected renovations at the Hellenic Club Woden, the bus pick-up and drop-off point will be outside the ABC building, 1 Wakefield Ave, Turner ACT 2612 on the Corner of Northbourne and Wakefield Ave. There are many hotel options located close to the bus pick-up point for members to choose from. Queensland Rescuers Meet Up
QUEENSLAND BRAVERY EVENT. Are you the recipient of a bravery award from any organisation, know someone who is, or maybe you're just interested to know more about nominating someone for a bravery award?
The Australian Bravery Association (ABA) is a volunteer not-for-profit community organisation run by bravery award recipients, families and friends. It was established in 2000 with the primary function of “supporting those who risk their life to save life, property or the environment”.
On 3 December 2023, at 10am, we will be having an informal gathering at Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park Surf Lifesaving Club (upstairs) and you are invited to come join us for an informal get-together, for coffee and a chat with other rescuers.

For those Members and Guests who would like a bite to eat, a table will be booked at the Clubhouse and Bar. The bus will drop Members and Guests at the Southern Cross Club, and then continue onto the Abode for those not wanting dinner. The Abode is an easy walk from the Southern Cross Club.

The Southern Cross Club is an easy walk from the Abode, just across the road from the Woden Shopping Centre. Free parking will be available underneath the club, a ticket should be obtained on entry to the carpark and validation is required at reception before leaving.
